Cognitive sensor of bitumen content presented for the 1st time to the Asphalt Community

CAS1 – The cognitive solution for the measurement of bitumen content in Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is under development at AIMEN’s laboratories, in cooperation with EIFFAGE within CAPRI Project. This optical sensor can discriminate the bitumen content in RAP samples in-line and in almost real-time, without requiring any sample handling or loss. This cognitive solution was presented at the 1st International Congress on Asphalt 4.0. by Ana Pinto (AIMEN). To the congress, which took place September 20 and 21 2022 in Madrid, attended Ana Pinto from AIMEN and Rafael Martinez from EIFFAGE. It was the first time CAS1 was presented to the Asphalt community, and it was very well received.
