CAS1 Laboratory Prototype is almost in its final form

CAS1 – The cognitive solution for the measurement of bitumen content in Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is under development at AIMEN’s laboratories. This solution is on its way to have a final laboratory prototype, an optical sensor that can discriminate the bitumen content in RAP samples, without requiring any sample handling or loss.

This laboratory prototype is the first and most important step for the development of the final sensor design that will be placed on the RAP line in EIFFAGE’s plant in Seville (Spain), where it will provide the percentage of bitumen content in RAP autonomously and in real-time.
